Jordan Burton has an unusual job—he’s a professional interviewer. Over the past 17 years, he has conducted several hundred multi-hour interviews with CEOs and other C-level candidates on behalf of major private equity firms and corporate Boards. He has leveraged his experiences to train the leadership teams of top VC/PE investors and high-growth companies to become exceptional at hiring and interviewing. Having trained over 3,000 executives and investors, Jordan is renowned for his skill in conducting rich, interactive conversations that delve deep into candidates’ personal and professional histories.

As co-founder of Talgo, a hiring and interviewing skills training firm, Jordan manages relationships with industry giants such as Sequoia Capital, TH Lee, Palantir Technologies, and countless venture-backed startups. His background includes roles as a Partner at ghSMART and a consultant at Bain & Company. Jordan holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Jordan is a passionate public speaker and blogger, frequently sharing his insights on interviewing and talent acquisition. He aims to contribute to relevant podcasts, offering expertise, humor, and talent-related advice to entrepreneurs, VC/PE investors, and leaders in high-growth organizations. Outside of work, he enjoys kiteboarding, playing guitar, and spending time with his wife and two children in the Santa Cruz area.
