Max Rose is not your typical politician. He speaks like a real person, says what he thinks, and thinks more like an entrepreneur than a politico. After serving one term, Max narrowly lost a tight race for reelection, but he’s back to give it another shot.
On this week’s FOMO Sapiens, we feature part one of our two-episode discussion with Rep. Rose. You’ll find out how Max sees politics and how his background in the military influences his vision for government and service.
Meet our guest:
From the frontlines of providing healthcare to the underserved and a combat tour in Afghanistan to the halls of Congress and the Pentagon, Max’s whole life has been about fighting to build a better New York City and America, no matter the cost. When he was in the Army, this meant deploying to Afghanistan and receiving the Purple Heart and Bronze Star and when he came back home, it meant running for Congress in a district that no one thought he could win. Through hard work he was able to beat the odds in 2018, and when he went to Congress he worked tirelessly to serve his constituents by attacking corruption, combating Big Pharma, and deploying to a hospital during COVID as a member of the National Guard. Since leaving Congress, he has continued his service by working in the Pentagon as a Special Advisor to Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin. Now he is running for Congress again to improve public safety, tame inflation, and protect a woman’s right to choose.
